cara memindahkan icon aplikasi di android samsung galaxy tab

Setelah lebih dari 3 bulan, akhirnya saya menemukan cara untuk memindahkan atau mengatur posisi icon di applications. Seperti kita ketahui, setiap kali menambah aplikasi icon akan bertambah di application. Dengan mudah kita membuat shortcut dengan memencet dan menahan icon tersebut, otomatis shortcut akan muncul di desktop posisi terakhir sebelum kita masuk ke applications list.

Saya merasa nyaman jika bisa mengatur icons application berdasarkan category.

Caranya, tekan tombol applications, tekan tombol "Menu" (samping kiri "Home") akan muncul virtual button "edit", tekan edit tersebut dan icons (3rd party apps akan muncul tanda forbidden '-') akan muncul frame di tiap icons tersebut. Selanjutnya, simple.tinggal drag and drop, atur posisi dan lokasi window. Untuk menyimpan setting tersebut, tekan lagi tombol Menu dan save.



Dengan cara tersebut juga kita bisa menghapus atau meng-uninstall 3rd party apps dengan menekan tanda forbidden '-' tersebut.

Cara Mengganti Sekering Lampu Parkir Mobil Yaris

Saya ingin berbagi pengalaman tentang cara pengechekan/penggantian sekering lampu parkir pada Toyota Yaris. Lampu parkir atau sering juga disebut dengan Tail Lamp atau di kampung saya biasa disebut lampu kecil/senja adalah lampu yang nyala sebelum lampu besar (main lamp) dinyalakan. biasanya orang menyalakan saat hari mulai senja atau masih fajar atau dalam kondisi hujan.

Pada Yaris, saat lampu parkir dinyalakan, pada kondisi normal 2 lampu kecil di dalam lampu besar (depan) dan 2 lampu kecil di dalam lampu rem belakang + lampu plat nomor belakang akan menyala. Dan sebagai indikatornya, tanda lampu berwarna hijau di panel speedometer akan ikut menyala.

Mengapa pengalaman ini saya anggap penting untuk dicatat oleh diri saya sendiri? karena saya sempat kebingungan mencari lokasi panel sekering (fuse box) untuk tail lamp/lampu parkir tersebut. Secara naluri, umumnya orang akan langsung membuka kap dan membuka fuse box cover lalu mulai membaca peta posisi sekering. Pada Yaris, ada 4 lokasi sekering; sisi kiri kap, sisi tengah (dekat firewall) dan sisi kanan kap. yang terakhir ada di dalam, persisnya di belakang laci kiri bawah. Nah, kebetulan sekering/fuse untuk Tail Lamp atau Lampu Parkir/Senja tersebut ada pada lokasi yang bagi saya amat sulit yakni di belakang laci kiri bawah dan panelnya menghadap ke lantai. Dengan ruang yang begitu sempit, saya harus sedikit berakrobatik sambil setengah tidur untuk menengadah agar bisa melihat dan membaca fuse box tersebut.

Untuk kenyamanan (dan dasarnya saya penasaran :), langkah pertama saya membuka laci kiri bawah agar leluasa baik ruang maupun cahaya (jika tanpa senter). Melepas laci kiri bawah relatif gampang, laci tersebut tanpa baut sama sekali cukup menarik ke arah atas dalam kondisi laci terbuka, lalu memiringkan untuk benar-benar melepaskan laci tersebut. Berikut gambar engsel atau pengait laci yang tanpa baut tersebut.

Dalam kondisi laci terbuka, kita akan dengan mudah melihat panel fuse box:

Dari gambar di atas, kita belum bisa melihat panel sekering untuk Tail Lamp atau Lampu Parkir tersebut. Kita harus telentang, kepala masuk ke bawah menghadap atas, karena panel sekeringnya menghadap lantai seperti gambar berikut:

Nah, sekering untuk Lampu parkir atau Tail Lamp adalah sekering pada posisi paling kanan bawah (kebetulan berwarna merah dengan ukuran 10A). cabut/periksa sekering tersebut dengan menggunakan penjepit yang tersedia di dalam fuse box sisi kanan dalam kap (sekalian juga cabut sekering cadangan yang 10A dari dalam box tersebut). Hati-hati! baca dengan seksama 'peta' lokasi masing-masing sekering yang tertulis di balik tutup kotak sekering tersebut.

Selesai, check lampu parkir atau tail lamp.

Lalu, agak sedikit tricky untuk memasang laci. caranya, rebahkan laci tersebut sambil perlahan ditekan ke arah dalam (cocokkan dengan posisi engsel tadi):

Pastikan terpasang dengan sempurna, lalu tinggal dorong seperti kita menutup laci (dengan terkesan sedikit "dipaksa" saat menutupnya). plug!

How to Connect USB Dongle Modem Huawei E160 G to MacBook Air (snow leopard)

Setelah membeli MacBook Air yang terinstall dengan Snow Leopard, seperti pengalaman dengan MacBook sebelumnya (Tiger) sangatlah mudah...tinggal colok USB Modem, then as usual drag it to application, execute it and setting apn bla bla bla. connected!

Tapi, sempet bingung...aplikasi Mobile Partner yang berlaku sebagai dialer dan setting untuk apn provider tidak berfungsi, error..pilihan ignore atau send report :( dan saya baru sadar jika MacBook Air sudah menggunakan OS X Snow Leopard...bah, pasti driver tidak cocok. mengingat dongle tersebut saya beli jauh sebelum Snow Leopard hadir dan sayangnya, bahkan Huawei support tidak menyediakan driver untuk Snow Leopard tersebut.

Pada akhirnya (Thanks!) ketemu blog ini, yang menyediakan informasi how to connect sekaligus drivernya :)

Langkah-langkahnya:

1. Download driver di sini, lalu install file ke-2 (HuaweiDataCardDriver(2.6)-intel.pkg) --file pertama nggak bisa.

2. Pasang USB Modem, tunggu bebeapa saat sampai lampu sinyal operator berkedip.

3. Buka “Network Preferences” lalu klik  tanda“+” dan add new service.

4. Pilih "Huawei Mobile" dari List Interfaces.

5. Lalu masukkan dial number *99# (standarlah), user/password kosongkan saja.

6. connect! go surfing.... jika ada mencentang "show modem status in menu bar" maka akan muncul di sisi kanan atas paling kiri (biasanya), untuk selanjutnya tinggal pilih disconnect atau connect huawei mobile.

Terus? E160G kan ada slot untuk microSD. hingga tahap tersebut dongle USB tidak/belum terbaca sebagai external storage (ada 2 drive baru seharusnya).

And, finally... penasaran googling lagi, keluar masuk forum, ketemu (lupa sumbernya)......

mau ada aplikasi seperti semestinya? dialer dengan mobile partner, ada statistic, sms tools, dll?
silahkan download and install, tinggal buka ISO nya dan lanjut seperti instalasi drag and drop... ya, macway!

Sepertinya Huawei "menyembunyikan" driver tersebut. Tidak ada di situs Huawei.

How to use it?

Hold "BACK" button and press POWER button. image capture will be save in /Root/ScreenCapture --> Samsung Galaxy Tab P1000

How to Save Attachment File Email on Android

saat pertama mendaftarkan gmail account di device dengan OS Android (pada kasus tersebut saya menggunakan Galaxy Tab Android 2.2), umumnya (termasuk saya) akan langsung menggunakan GMAIL application yang sudah bundled di Android 2.2.

Push mail pun berjalan dengan baik, tapi mulai bingung sewaktu menerima email dengan attachment dan ingin menyimpan (save file) tersebut ke device/external microSD. Tidak ada menu untuk save file atau save as dan sejenisnya, hanya ada preview. ya, preview berarti file tersebut hanya bisa dibaca pada saat terhubung dengan internet.

Lalu adakah cara untuk bisa mendownload file attach tersebut? tentu...salah satu yang terpikir oleh saya saat itu adalah masuk ke browser, buka gmail webmail tersebut lalu ubah ke versi dari mobile mode ke fullsite, download! maka, setiap kali ada email yang disertai file dan ingin di-download, go to browser :(


Ternyata, ada cara yang lebih elegan dan 'terlupakan' yakni aplikasi EMAIL, icon yang selalu muncul disamping menu application & browser pada home screen.aplikasi tersebut general untuk semua email, tentu harus manual setup untuk account yang menggunakan pop3/smtp/exchange yang tidak "umum", kebetulan saya mendaftarkan email kantor yang menggunakan Exchange Server.

Konfigurasinya pun relatif mudah, tinggal ketik username dan password lalu NEXT. Aplikasi akan secara otomatis mencari parameter umum untuk incoming/outgoing server, untuk gmail tentu saja otomatis.

lalu seperti biasa, ikuti wizard...setting email check frequency.

email masuk dengan file attach, tinggal tekan tombol gambar disket, file tersimpan ke default folder download (internal memory).


Kelemahannya adalah, email check frequency yang tidak mode push melainkan periodic (5 menit waktu terpendek). Hal tersebut berbeda ketika kita mendaftarkan email yang menggunakan Exchange Server, pada account setting di email aplikasi tersebut akan muncul pilihan untuk "Amount Day to Synchronize" dan "Email Check Frequency" dengan pilihan automatic/push.
